The Rink family loves RVing now, but this wasn’t always the case. There was a time not too long ago when Chris and Yasmina Rink had never stayed in an RV. Everything changed when the family decided to rent an RV for vacation.
“We have two young boys and wanted to have a different type of vacation with them. We had always wanted to try RVing and were intrigued by it, so we decided to rent one to see if it was for us,” Chris recalled. “Our very first RV trip was in a travel trailer that we rented through Outdoorsy. We loved our experience and how easy Outdoorsy made it to rent! We went to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA and Massey’s Landing in Delaware, and we enjoyed our trip so much that we booked a second trip for the following summer.”
The Rinks now take a big summer RV trip every year, and this has led them to purchase their own rig. “With annual trips, we decided to purchase our own RV,” Rink explained. “Through renting, we were able to try different types of trailers and essentially ‘try before we buy.’ When we decide to add to our fleet, we will rent the type of RV we plan to purchase before buying.”
“We chose our RV based on size, weight, layout, price, and income-making potential,” said Chris when asked about his trailer. “It was well cared for but needed a little work to make it ours, which was perfect. We purchased the trailer about six weeks ago and spent two weeks cleaning it and upgrading it to make it better than new! Our first trip was to the KOA in North Stonington, CT, on Thanksgiving night. It was well below freezing during the night, but we stayed warm inside. We enjoyed the KOA and spent our time exploring Mystic, CT, and the nearby casinos.”
The trailer is now listed for rent on Outdoorsy, which makes sense considering the Rinks’ RV renting history. “Now that we have purchased our own, we decided to rent our RV through the Outdoorsy site as well,” Mr. Rink told us. “We chose Outdoorsy because we like the insurance, renter screening, ease of use, and the online community.”
