1000 mile maximum per rental. This custom camper is a great way to get out of town for a few days, or longer! It is RWD, and designed for pavement or mellow dirt roads. I have both summer and winter tires for it - the winter tires do pretty darn well in the snow - but again it is RWD.Van has solar power and enough battery bank for multi-day getaways, and more. 25gal onboard water tank with a 5 gal gray water tank underneath the sink. Must empty it if it fills up. There is also an option to hook up an outdoor shower out of the back of the van. There's a cassette toilet that's primarily for #1, but also contains #2 smell pretty well, and it's easy to empty.Dinette style seating converts into a bed with a few steps. Takes a few minutes to do, and I've got a how-to video with all of the instructions. The engine is a Turbodiesel, so diesel fuel only. This motor does quite well in the mountains, but it is from 2003, so please drive it with care and don't red-line the engine on steep mountain passes. It will easily do 65-70mph up most mountain passes like I-70 in Colorado. The van also handles quite well, but be mindful of how it can sway on windy days. Looking at you Wyoming. There's front and rear AC, but there's not a separate AC for when the vehicle is parked. There are 2 overhead fans that allow you to pull fresh air in one, and push air out the other, which allows for good circulation of air inside the van.In cold temps, the secondary diesel heater will keep you warm when parked. How-to video included. There is shore power (plug-in) capability if you are at a traditional campground, which allows you to run all of the van appliances comfortably. If you are out on BLM land with no hookups, or if it's cloudy for multiple days, be aware of your power consumption. There's a battery monitor on board that makes it easy to see charge levels.How-to videos for everything in the van will be sent via Google Drive upon booking. Reach out w/ any questions!*Also selling van for $50k*Was ist inbegriffenFresh linens, dishware, cutting boards, cook pans, Coleman stove with 1 propane canister, window covers, full water tank, awning, 2-person camping chair, 2-person bicycle rack with swing away capability (upon request), and battery charger in case you run the lithium house battery completely out of power. Air mattress for kid to sleep in cabin. EmpfehlungenGet out and explore! Weitere wichtige DingePets welcome, but please be respectful of my van. I built this myself and would like for others to be able to experience how fun vanlife can be. It can sleep 2 adults and 1 child in the front cabin air mattress - see pics.I will go over how to work everything when you pick it up.I will also have how-to videos created that you can review for step-by-step demonstrations with things like the awning, lights, power inverter, fans, etc.

We had a mix up with our flights upon arrival - Jon was very accommodating and made sure that didn’t get in the way of our trip. The van itself was amazing! Awesome setup up, has everything you need, and is clean. Maneuvers well. Jon is very thorough and makes the van experience very seamless. I highly recommend the empanada!

This van broke down twice the first day of rental. We were assured by host, Jon, after the first breakdown that it had never happened before & we would be safe to drive 3hrs to our camping destination deep in the RockyMountains of Colorado for my 30th bday.
Van broke down again & for good- not even 24 hrs into the rental & we were already at destination.
We trusted our host Jon when he promised he would help us out. Instead he ended up hiring a tow truck the next day & without any notice & with the majority of our things still inside- the van was towed back to host - 4 hrs away from where we were- leaving us completely stranded.
Host promised us a full refund as well as graciously offering a hotel night stay for the nightmare we had endured. We accepted his offer as we had grown to trust him.
Host has now defaulted on refund- claims that he payed for the night stay & that’s it!
He agreed to meet us to give back our things & instead left all of our things on the side of the road.

Hi Francesca, I will take the high road here but you know that your review is very misleading. I did everything that I could to accommodate you. The van had a catastrophic failure due to a bad tank of diesel and there is nothing I can do about that. Outdoorsy ruled in my favor, and I know you’re mad about that. I refunded you the amount of $ that the rental costed in other means: hotel, fuel costs, shuttle back to Denver, etc.

Jon came through for us last minute and totally saved our trip! We went to the great sand dunes and could not be happier with our experience. It was so great to have such an awesome van and person to work with. Would give six stars if I could!

Five stars all around! Both Jon and the Empanada were first class. John engineered the campervan and it worked great for us. We didn't use the water system or heating, but the fans worked great, we had plenty of power for lighting, and the refrigerator kept the beer cold. The van ran great on Interstates and county roads, we covered some miles to Florida and back to Colorado. Jon was a big help, and had some great explanatory videos online. We weren't looking for frills, but a hard-working camping vehicle and that is what we got.

The owner did an incredible job of walking me through everything I needed to know about the features and operation of the van during the initial pick up. He even made video tutorials available if I forgot and needed to reference something. Owner was very responsive to any questions or concerns I had for the duration of the trip. I had an absolutely wonderful weekend in the mountains with this van and you will too!
