From start to finish this was an absolute nightmare do not use.
I paid for the hire hire of an rv through outdoorsy to be told the price is incorrect and outdoorsy has a technical error. So I checked the vendors own website to which the price was the same as outdoorsy. I was annoyed about but had already paid so tried to make mutual agreement following advice by outdoorsy. The vendor offered me a smaller rv for less money than the re-quoted cost but still more than I had already paid which I reluctantly excepted due to time constraints on being ready for the weekend away.
I requested secure parking when I pick up the rv expecting to be going to a place of business. I was sent the post code of a burnt down building car park where I was greeted by a builder in his work clothes who expected me to hand over the keys of my expensive car to drive away for secure parking (that wasn’t going to happen so I parked it in the rd outside a shops)
He gave me a brief run through and I was off on my way .
The van was clean on the whole but very dated held together by duct tape inside and out which also smelt bad.
We drove over 100miles to Southampton for a glamping weekend. The only reason for the rv was that I have a 1&3yr old who wake up from 4-6am wanting milk so I wanted a clean dry place to be able to make milk in with waking the whole site with a crying baby.
Only to get up and the van be completely flat and nothing works. Which meant the steps didn’t come down to get it the truck and if the engines running the steps go back up.
I contacted William and fair enough he did send a recovery later in the morning who couldn’t fix the fault however he did also find 2 bald front tyres rendering the vehicle completely unusable and unsafe . I contacted William again who said the vans been checked by a garage before it went out to make sure everything is safe and working . I had to tell him there is no way I’m driving my family home in this price of crap and risk 6 points or a potential accident. So he better come and pick it up himself I’d rather get a taxi. I sent him videos of the bald tyres only then Did he send a tyre company to change them. We managed to get some charge into the leisure battery by leaving the van running all day because it wouldnt charge even when plugged into the campsite mains so all in all again the van was completely unfit for purpose.
Once I made it home to drop I back to the car park William tried to make out I should have checked the van to make sure it worked before I took it . I’m sorry I don’t have a 12v car battery checker in my back pocket. Then proceeded to say he’s complaining about the recovery company and basically blame everyone but himself. I’ve since contacted outdoorsy for a refund who have said I first have to ask the vendor. I’ve since discovered he’s over charged yet again . I’ve now almost paid the cost of top quality van from his competitors on outdoorsy. He was cheaper than the rest so didn’t expect a top quality brand new wagon but I did expect one that works is road worthy and to be charged what he said he would charge me. To then top this whole terrible experience off William has then charged my card an extra random £50 which was never discussed, I’ve tried contacting him to speak about it but he is not responding. DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS COMPANY. I feel robbed

We had a great week touring Devon in the motorhome. Although the van was quite old (9 years) it was in very good condition throughout. William was also very responsive and helpful on any issues we had. Thank you.
