This type of vehicle is known as a "Stealth Van," because it can be parked overnight almost anywhere without having to pay for a campsite. - No abusing the engine. No punching the fuel except when it is done for safety reasons. Please take it slow. Your passengers will appreciate it. The engine runs like new with only 50k miles, but we need it to last for the long run, so please monitor engine temperature and all dashboard lights as if it were your own. , high speed braking, )
- No wet suits on the seats please use a towel or change
- No sleeping in the upper bunks while vehicle is in motion. Renters who allow sleeping passengers to occupy bunk beds assume all risk, including loss of life and bodily injury. Please take all turns, curves and lane changes slowly and purposefully to help keep passengers from being thrown off their feet and to keep potential projectiles in the cabinets where they belong
- No open fires inside the vehicle, this includes any and all devices such as candles, incense, heaters, torches, water pipes, and anything else that requires open flame
- No opening doors while vehicle is in motion! It is the responsibility of the renter to close and lock the large cabin door before the vehicle moves. If this or any door is opened while the vehicle is in motion the door will catch the wind and all bets are off for your safety and the safety of your passengers. If any door is damaged because it was left open or was opened during transit, you will lose your entire security deposit and we will have to file an insurance claim to replace the door and whatever else is damaged.
- If renter breaks, damages, destroys or fails to return any of the following items, the amount in parentheses will be deducted from your security deposit: Microwave ($80), Coffee Maker ($30), Coffee Pot ($15), Camp Stove ($100), Pit Boss Grill ($100), Tailgate Cooler Holder ($125), Tailgate Cargo Box ($500), Driver's Curtain ($60), Toilet ($100), Bunk Bed Cushions ($150), Bunk Bed Cover ($70), Sink Cutting Board ($50), Sink Pasta Strainer ($75), Sink Drying Rack ($25), Detachable Freezer inside Refrigerator ($250), Refrigerator ($1000), 2300W Inverter ($200), 200aH lithium Ion battery ($1000)
- If user damages any light fixture, $25 will be deducted from the security deposit
- If user damages cabinet doors, woodwork or paneling, security deposit will be deducted based on replacement cost, (Rest assured, The Hummingbird is built like a rock and is intended for children. Normal use will not result in damage to anything. We have given this a lot of thought)
- If the user destroys the stereo by smashing the glass or if the stereo gets stolen because the user negligently left the doors open in a high crime area, $250 will be deducted from the security deposit to replace the radio (unless such loss is covered by insurance without deductible).
- If it is obvious that you smoked in the vehicle, $250 will be deducted from the security deposit for cleaning and de-funkification.
- If renter breaks sink faucet, $150 will be deducted from the security deposit
- If RV battery under sink is damaged stolen or missing, you will be charged $1000 (Actual Replacement Cost)
- If you destroy, rip, burn, stain, any bed, seat or upholstered item in the vehicle, $150 per item will be deducted from the security deposit to cover replacement cost.Fuel
- The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of gas at the time the renter returns the vehicle. If gas is not returned full you will have to go get it filled or pay an estimated fuel charge to fill the 30 gallon tank.Propane
- 1lb propane tanks are used to power both the stove and the Pit Boss Grill. It is good to have 1 tank per big meal. 1.5 tanks a day average. Such tanks range in price between $4 and $12 each depending on packaging and price gouging at tourist locations. We advise buying extra tanks up front. We may be able to sell you tanks when you pick up the vehicle and will buy back any unused tanks at $4 per bottle.Water
- The first two bottles of water are on us at no charge. You may buy water at any Home Depot for $7 per 5 gallon jug using the empty jugs to avoid bottle deposit. You may also fill jugs at any potable water source, but beware water that has funny taste. We may need to purge and sanitize the water system after potable water is used. You will not be charged for this, so we expect you to let us know if you fill your own water from a tap or hose or other potable water source.Toilet
- A portable toilet is included in the price of your rental. The device is intended for urine only. Urine must be manually emptied daily for smells to not occur. If someone needs to go #2 in an emergency, you will be required to dump and clean the device. If the device is returned with fecal matter inside you will be charged a $100 disposal fee (cost of a new toilet).
- You may opt to have a new toilet issued to you at the beginning of the trip and a brand new never been used toilet will be provided for $100 and without any additional disposal fees if brought back dirty.Tolls
